I'm ready to go. Beyond ready! I've set the appointment for closing (8 a.m. on the 28th!), I set appointments for the cleaning lady to come sanitize the place, security people to install our new system, fence people to build our privacy fence, plumber and electrician to correct some issues. The utilities will be on and are switched to our names. I think that is about all I can do from here. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but that's the best I can do for now.
We are anxiously waiting for next week. Next Thursday is the ultrasound and graduation is Friday and Saturday. Sunday we will pack and Monday morning at dawn we will head north. Our plan is to drive 7 ours the first day and stay in a hotel in Tulsa, OK. The second day we will drive 6 hours to St. Louis, MO where we will stay at a KOA campground. I'm super excited about camping even though we're kind of cheating by staying in a cabin equipped with A.C. and hdtv. The third day will get us into Cincinnati after another 6 hour drive. We will stay 2 nights in a hotel if things go according to plan.
We only have 1 week left to secure a larger vehicle and visit everyone for the last time. The good-byes are starting to become difficult as we realize that we may not be back for several months. We are trying to focus on the positive though...
OH! Shout out to my brother Cody. He proved that he actually does read my blog when he made fun of my detailed plans for the new house. Congrats Cody, enjoy your moment in the spotlight ;)
