Even Stevens

This morning I felt really good about myself. As I sat down for breakfast with agw I realized that I had managed to get dressed, figure out the GT Express and make 4 omelettes, 3 bowls of oatmeal (all different flavors), feed both dogs, a kitten, and clean up my mess, all before Carey was able to drag himself out of bed. But he slid into his chair ready for breakfast wearing a surgery t-shirt and again, God just smiled and shook his head as my ego deflated. I remembered that on most days Carey will be out the door by 5 a.m. and saving lives without thinking twice all before my feet hit the floor. Hmm. He did bandage my ego a little when he tried making a pot of coffee without pouring in the water. I guess that makes us about even. ;)
