We've been super busy as I predicted and it's all so exciting! We find out whether we are going pink or blue tomorrow and I'm just on pins and needles. I'm at 20 weeks and half way through the pregnancy already. This time has been so different than the last but I'm finally starting to develop a relationship with the little one. Up until the last few days I've had a hard time bonding because of all of the distractions and very little participation from my little one. By participation I mean movement. I've decided that he/she must be lots like his/her daddy and LOVE to sleep. So because there isn't much movin' and shakin' from my lazy little one to remind me that he/she is there, I really haven't slowed down long enough to cherish this little baby. However, that is starting to change. The last two days he/she has done at least one big summersault and I suddenly remember that I'm growing something in there! That helps me to remember to take the time to talk, read, and sing to this little one just like I did with AGW. I'll really be able to start bonding when I can stop all of this he/she business and say one or the other!
We also upgraded to a family vehicle that our whole family comfortably fits in. I continute to remind Carey that it's MY new car though, just to pick on him a little!
Goodbye Camry!
No minivan for this soccer mom!
Carey is getting very excited about this weekend. It will be so nice to be officially called a DOCTOR! Yay! He's earned it and we are so proud!
AGW is busy getting the last of every toy, gift, cookie, and whatever else all of her grandparents spoil her with. She and I had a converstation last week that was pretty upsetting to her:
Me: Did you know that we're moving to Cincinnati soon?
AGW: Yesh
Me: And we're taking Cash (the dog), Emma (the other dog), and Texas (the kitty), with us!
AGW then proceded to name each grandparent individually and looked at me with sad eyes when I explained that they weren't going with us. The conversation ended quickly when she was dissatisfied with my response.
Her vocabulary is growing so quickly and right now she is really working on directional words such as on, off, up, down, in, out. Pretty amazing how she picks these things up on her own.
Her favorite phrase: I know!
