Spray Butter
Yesturday was long. We went all over Knox City, Aspermont, Jayton, and every town and village in between. When we got home AGW was a wreck and I was exhausted. She screamed for food and bed and refused to be put down. I was so frustrated and annoyed and couldn't wait to hush her with yogurt. My plan didn't work. She didn't want to be put in her booster seat and she didn't want to eat her yogurt like a big girl. I found myself shoving spoonfuls of yogurt into her mouth as I balanced her on my hip. This soon turned into spoonfuls of cheery yogurt down my shirt and all over my leg. At that point I decided I'd had enough and planted her in her booster seat. She continued throwning a fit and asking for bread. At this point I decided she could have just about anything if it would make her quiet. My patience was gone. I hurriedly grabbed a slice of bread, pretty much stomped to the refridgerator (uh oh, reality check! I wonder where she gets it?) and grabbed the spray butter. I was so mad and flustered that I just began spraying the bread without looking. It was with a strong spray of butter to the face that God said "Seriously? You're as bad as she is". Everyday I learn more about patience and who is actually in control. Sometimes it takes a good squirt to the face for me to stop, take a deep breath, and let go.
